"Start a Zoo - As You Chew" reads the clever advertising copy on the reverse of cards in the "Jungle Gum" series. World Wide Gum's original projection of a 192 card set never came to pass - only 48 titles were ever printed. Cards 1-24 were issued in numerical sequence, but the company resorted to skip-numbering for the final 24 cards to promote sales. The card number, a descriptive text, and advertising are located on the green print backs. The animal studies used in Jungle Gum were copied directly from the Hassan Cigarette "Animal Series" of 1910. A complete set of the Jungle Gum cards are shown below.
